2000 Outstanding Senior Award
This award is sponsored by the Ag Alumni Society with the Coaly Agricultural Student Honor Society's involvement in the recruitment and selection process. Selection for this prestigious award is based on nominees' academic achievement, their leadership in college clubs and organizations, an application essay, a personal interview with the selection committee, and an evaluation of their contributions to the University and community.
Justin Howes
Agricultural Business Management
Justin is graduating in December 2000 with a degree in agricultural business management and a minor in agricultural economics and rural sociology. In addition to earning good grades, he has held many leadership positions in student clubs and organizations.
As a member of the Penn State Dairy Science Club, Justin serves as treasurer. He is also a member of Alpha Zeta fraternity, the National Agri-Marketing Association, and Penn State Block and Bridle Club, and he serves as an Ag Advocate for the college. Justin holds memberships in several honor societies including the Gamma Sigma Delta Agriculture Honor Society, the Golden Key National Honor Society, the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, and the Coaly Honor Society.
Justin is the son of Jay Howes of Harrisburg and Sue Kauffman of Carlisle.
